Chair of the Board of Trustees
Charles has worked in the Criminal Justice System for 25 years, and regularly represents clients caught up in police stations, courts and prisons due to criminal activity fuelled by drug and alcohol misuse. He has long recognised that there needs to be a different way of dealing with those individuals who are ready to make the changes necessary to get into recovery. On a daily basis, Charles sees the break-up of families, personal distress to the public and waste of public funds caused by the lack of a solution to move substance misusers away from crime. Charles is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees Charles is the Chair of the Board of Trustees; he is one of the original trustees of Steps2Recovery and was very hands on in the practical aspects of setting up the recovery house. He still has a strong interest in the practical aspects in the day-to-day running of the house. Charles is an active fundraiser for Steps2Recovery, through organising our successful and popular annual quiz night and by introducing new supporters.
