May Edwards
Trustee

May graduated from the Steps treatment programme in 2015 and like her fellow trustees is passionate about helping others find abstinence based recovery and the 12 Steps programme. May is committed to giving something back and has undertaken a wide range of volunteering positions within the addiction treatment sector. In June 2016 she was nominated Volunteer of the Year at WDP and graduated as a Recovery Champion before returning to Steps for a brief period to offer volunteer support to the counselling team. She then decided to embark upon a career in counselling and therapy, qualifying as a counsellor in the summer of 2020. May brings a valuable dimension to the Board of Trustees and offers a number of distinct perspectives on the Steps treatment offering.
