Trustee and Chief Executive
Lesley is one of the original trustees and has taken a keen and hands-on interest in the development of Steps2Recovery. Before working with Steps2Recovery, Lesley had a long and varied career in the civil service, working in a number of departments on strategy, planning and change programmes. Her work with the charity has made her passionate about the plight of many people with addiction problems, caught up in the Criminal Justice System, and released from prison homeless and with very few resources to help them. Along with her fellow trustees, her aim is for Steps2Recovery to provide a model for a better way to treat those with addiction problems on release. Her experience with Steps2Recovery has enabled her to support the development of other, recovery-based charities. Lesley is also a CIMA qualified accountant and currently Chief Executive of Steps2Recovery.
